Sicilian Blood Orange 🍊
Grown in Sicily with minimal use of chemicals and picked by hand, we’re excited to be working with Fabeizio to supply their blood oranges and leafy lemons.
The red colour of the orange is not grown but born due to the reaction of anthocyanins to the temperature changes in the winter period of Etna. At the foot of Etna, between November and March, the temperature goes from 5-6 degrees at night to 20 degrees during the day.
We’ll be using Fabeizio’s blood oranges to make our fresh blood orange juice. We don't use pasteurisation or additives to extend the shelf life as it affects the flavour and diminishes the beneficial nutrients. They're just fresh juices, pure and simple, and we believe this is the best way to enjoy them!
